Timber-milling is to be resumed at Waitakaruru after a lapse of many years. Bushmen are now engaged in preparing a camp in the kahikatea bush between the Mahutu and Mangatarata roads, where there is a large quantity of this timber. It will be conveyed by motor lorry to tide water .and taken to Auckland.
