A lemon weighing no less thai) 19oz, the fruit having a diameter of 4i inches and similar measurement in depth, was taken into the office of the Cambridge Independent on Wednesday by a resident of Whitehall. Of the American Wonder variety, it is not a freak. A three-year-old tree, 2ft high, produced three lemons of somewhat similar size. The tree has been bearing lemons for the last two years, but unfortunately it got broken down when doing well in the second year. The variety is stated to be a prolific bearer, when matured, and the fruit is thin-skinned and edible.
