Accounts totalling £2474 7s 2d were passed for payment at this month’s meeting of the Hauraki Plains County Council on Thursday last. A Rughry motor lorry, owned and driven by Mr L. M. Mitchell, of Ngatea, went backwards into one of the drains on, the Pipiroa-Waitakaruru Road last Saturday afternoon when being backed out of a farm gateway. New Zealand certificates off naturalisation were granted on November 11 to three Dalmations, one Diane, one Egyptian, one French citiajen, one Finn, two Germans, one Hollander, one Italian, one Norwegian, two Poles, one Roumanian, two Russians, one Swiss, and one citizen of the United States of America. Included in these were two music-teachers, a clergyman, a clerk, a labourer, a farmer, a contractor, a sailor, and a paint er.
