WAIKATO SHOW.
SPLENDID EXHIBIT.. FARMING IMPLEMENTS. At the Waikato Show Mi - T. J. Storey, of Hamilton, exhibited some of the finest and most up-to-date farming implements in the world. One of the exhibits was an Evonia top-dresser. This machine is probably without doubt one of the finest, if not the finest, on the market to-day. A decided advantage over others of the type is the fact that the internal machinery is so protected that manure cannot get through to the cogwheels. The main cog fits outside and over the spindle hole, in which position it naturally excludes all the droppings. The axle goes right through the box, and is stationary in the interior, which makes for added stability in every way.
Another outstanding exhibit was a Hornsley mower, a famous English product, which Mr Storey has available with a full stock of spares. Foi’ lightness of draft and sweet running it stands supreme, and it is high geared, which enables it to cut crops where other machines fail. Other outstanding machines were the Osborne and the English Nicholson hay-rakes, tripod and chain harrows, Hornsby ploughs, road scoops, and hay-sweeps. Great interest was evinced at. Mr Storey’s stand, and many orders were booked during the Show by farmers convinced of the utility and value of the products offered.
