Speaking at the last meeting of the Ohinemuri County Council the chairman, Cr. C. Mason, referring to the Danish settlers on the Whangamata road and Waihi Plains district, said that the riding member should be pleased to be their representative. They did a lot of work on their own initiative for the county unbeknown to anybody but the council. They did not cavil. They were a particularly fine class of settler.
