HAMILTON STOCK SALE. The Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Co., Ltd., reports :— At the weekly stock sale in the Frankton yards on Tuesday last we had a full yarding of beef and store cattle and an average yarding of sheep and pigs. Beef fully maintained last week’s increased rates. Store cows v;ere in keen demand, and young cattle found ready buyers, the whole yarding being cleared at satisfactory prices. Sheep and pigs were on a par with late quotations. We quote : Cattle.—Heavy prime steers £l6 7s to £l6 17s, prime steers £l5 5s to £l5 18s (no light-weight steers yarded) ; prime heavy cows and heifers £9 14s to £lO 16s, medium fat cows £7 15s to £9, lighter £6 12s to £7 6s ; vealers £2 13s to £4 14s ; best store cows £5 15s to £6 17s, rough store cows £4 Is to £5 6s ; Jersey store cows £3 5s to £3 15s ; Jersey-cross yearling heifers £6 7s. Sheep.—Fat wethers £1 7s 6d to £1 8s ; fat woolly hoggets £1 9s 2d ; fat woolly ewes £1 3s 6d to £1 7s 6d. Pigs.—Heavy baconers £3 17s to £4 Is, medium £3 10s to £3 14s, light £3 3s td £3 6s ; heavy porkers £3 to £3 ss, light £2 14s to £2 17s ; good stores £2 s's to £2 10s ; slips 33s to 37s ; weaners 22s to 295.
