With the exception of Turua, where practically every settler already has a telephone, there is a steady increase in the number of connections to the telephone exchanges on the Hauraki Plains. The number at Ngatea is increasing rapidly, but even a greater increase is taking place at Waitaka--I'iiru, and before long connection will be given to many Mangatarata settlers-.
