At the Paeroa Warden’s Court on Monday M. Meagher’s application for the surrender’ of a residence site at Mackaytown was accepted, as also was one by W. H. Redfern at Karangahake. M. Meagher’s application for a residence site at Mackaytown was granted, counsel in this case explaining that although the applicant already possessed one site, the other was applied for as it was an adjoining property where noxious weeds were rife. Applicant wanted the site to prevent the weeds from spreading. R. Dixon and others were granted a protection certificate for six months over Dixon’s Maratoto claim. The Maoriland Consolidated claim for reduction of rent was refused.
