SATURDAY NIGHT. OftCE AND FOREVER. The story tells of the love of a winsome miss for that of the nephew of a harsh and stern French Governor of a French possession who frowns upon the suit of his handsome nephew for the poor orphan, and the meddling into their love affair by two gossips who do all but ruin the happiness of the lovers. The scene in which the young man returns from the war blinded and his longing for his sweetheart is finely portrayed, and the unexpected denouement near the finish is a fine piece of dramatic construction. MONDAY AND TUESDAY NIGHT. THE CHARLATAN. “The Charlatan” is the strange story of a man who knew the inner thoughts of women, who solved society's greatest mystery, yet who lived in a world alone. THE FIFTY-FIFTY GIRL. The screen story of “The Fifty-Fifty Girl” is a tale of the modern young woman whose ideas on marriage are a bit out of the ordinary and who changes her mind considerably when bucked up against the ideas of her leading man, in this case James Hall. TURUA PICTURES. THE GIRL FROM CHICAGO. “The Girl From Chicago,” showing at the Turua Hall to-morrow night, is a brilliant story of the underworld and of a Southern girl who seemingly becomes a part of the hectic life of that city. Miss Reta McCullay, the noted wireless singer, will also give selected items during the evening. PAINTED PONIES. On Tuesday next Hoot Gibson will be seen in the Universal special “Painted Ponies.” This is a thrilling picture of the West, and shows Gibson in some of his cleverest work.
