HAMILTON STOCK SALE. The Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Co., Ltd., reports : — At the weekly stock market in the Frankton yards on Tuesday last we had a good yarding of fat cattle and sheep, and an average yarding of stores. Prime fat bullocks were in keen demand and sold at late rates. Cow beef and ewes were slightly easier while store cattle maintained their values. There was a heavy yarding of fat and store pigs which met with good competition. Bacon ers averaged 7id per lb., while porkers averaged 7d per lb. Dairy cattle came forward in large numbers, and good quality dairy cows were eagerly sought after. Quotations :—Fat woolly wethers 32/9, fat shorn wethers 28/6, woolly ewes 23/6 to 26/3, fat shorn ewes 19/- to £1 Os 6d, fat hoggets 24/6 to 26/6, fat lambs 21/6 to 25/3. Prime fat bullocks £l4 4s to £l4 15s, light fat bullocks £l3 Is to £l3 14s, prime fat cows £lO 7s 6d to £l2 Is, medium £8 15s to £9 16s, light £6 15s to £8 10s ; forward-conditioned cows £5 12s 6d to £6 5s ; store cows £4 10s to £5 Is ; yearling steers up to £3 19s ; Jersey and Jersey-cross cows in milk £ll to £l3 ; Jersey cows close to profit £l3 to £l6 ss, backward £6 15s to £9 10s ; heifers, close to profit, £l2 to £l5 10s, others £7 10s to £9 15s. Pigs : Heavy baconers £4 6s to £4 13s, medium £3 15s to £4 2s, light £3 5s to £3 10s, heavy porkers £2 18s to £3 6s, light £2 6s to £2 14s, good stores £2 2s to £2 10s, slips 31/- to £2 2s, weaners 20/- to 32/.
