CLOTHIER SHIELD AND STARS.
TEAMS SELECTED.
Play for the Clothier Shield and Goldfields Stars will commence at 8.30 a.m. on Saturday at the Paeroa Bowling Club’s green, and will conclude on Monday, making a two-day competition. The following are the teams :— Te Aroha.— H. Rosenfeldt, A. Andrews, P. Heathcote, T. Kristovich (skip) ; W. Maingay, J. Clothier, S. Wyllie, A. D. Wallace (skip). Hikutaia.—H. Morrison, W. Alley, I. Robinson, A. Robinson (skip) ; A. Gubb, W. Morrison, C. Reid, H. Valentine (skip). Waikino.—W. I. Collins, A. E. Keatley, J. Bothwick, H. Franklin (skip). Paeroa. —W. Bowmar, W. Chamberlain, C. Mettam, T. L. Williams (skip) ; J. W. Brocket, L. Gibb, W. J. Towers, W. Taylor (skip). * Matamata. —A. Oates, W. Crab, F. Livingstone, B. Stewart (skip) ; Banks, W. A. Gordon, W. Edgar, Were (skip). The Thames, Waihi, and Morrinsville teams were not to hand at the time of going to press. Matamata’s third team is not known yet, either. As Waikino are only entering one team, Matamata, as holders of the shield and stars, have the right to enter team, in accordance with ( .the rules of the two competitions.
