POSTAL DELIVERIES.
CHANGE FOR PAEROA.
TWO DELIVERIES IN BOROUGH.
The present arrangement of three postal deliveries a day in one small area of Paeroa and one delivery only in the major portion of the town will terminate at the end of this week.
On Monday next a new method will be inaugurated. Both postmen will be mounted on bicycles and give the whole of the town two deliveries a day, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. On the ordinary half-holi-day there will be one delivery only.
This is considered to be a forward move, and one that will be greatly appreciated by a very large section of the community who have for years past only had one delivery a day.
This alteration means that while it has been found necessary to take away from some sixty houses within a few chains of the post office one unimportant delivery a day, there will be no less than 350 houses which will receive an extra delivery. Thus the distribution will be more equable and much more satisfactory.
