The domain superintendent reports to the Borough Council that since his last report his time had been mainly occupied in the completion of the pruning of trees. The greens also required a good deal of attention in preparing them for their respective openings. More time than usual had been spent in this work owing to an alteration in the preparation of the bowling green. In connection with the grass surrounding the rotunda, as previously mentioned he did not think that scything was the best means of getting this piece of ground into good order. He had removed a large quantity of docks from the vicinity, and as it was now too late for the spring sowing, he suggested that the ground be ploughed and harrowed, which would give it a far better appearance that it had at present. The ground would then be in readiness for the sowing of seed in the autumn.
