Local Body Notices. ELSTOW DRAINAGE BOARD. NOTICE OF ELECTION OF SEVEN TRUSTEES. PURSUANT to the “Land Drainage Act, 1908,” and amendments thereto, and the “Local Elections and Polls Act, 1925,” and amendments thereto, I hereby give notice that an election will be held on Monday the fourth day of November, 1929, for the purpose of electing seven trustees for the several subdivisions of the Elstow Drainage District, as under :— For the Ngutumanga Subdivision, One trustee. For the Central Subdivision, One trustee. For the Eastern Subdivision, One trustee. • For the Western Subdivision, One trustee. For the Waihou Subdivision, One trustee. ■ For the Awaiti Subdivision. Two trustees. And I hereby appoint the Board’s Office, Kenrick Street, Te Aroha, as the place, and Wednesday, the 23rd day of October, 1929, at noon, as the day for the nomination of candidates. Nomination papers may be had from the undersigned, during office hours, at the office of the Board, Kenrick Street, Te Aroha. Dated this 30th day of September, 1929. H. NOTICE is hereby given In terms of Section 54 of “The Rating Act, 1925,” that it is the intention of the Elstow Drainage Board, at its meeting to be held in its office, Kenrick Street, Te Aroha, on Saturday, November 2nd, 1929, at 10.30 a.m., to make and levy under section 31 of the “Land Drainage Act, 1908,” and Sections 3 and 4 of the “Land Drainage Amendment Act, 1913,” a general rate upon the unimproved value and upon a graduated scale according to classification of the land within the several subdivisions of the Elstow Drainage District as follows i— Within the Ngutumanga Subdivision, upon lands classified “A,” 2d in the £ ; upon lands classified “B,” l.Jd in the £ ; and upon lands classified “C,” Id in the £. Within the Central Subdivision, upon lands classified “A,” 2.1 d in the £ ; upon lands classified “B,” 2d in the £ ; and upon lands classified “C,” lld in the £. Within the Eastern Subdivision, upon lands classified “A,” 2|d in the £ ; upon lands classified “B,” 23-16 d in the £ ; and upon lands classified “C,” 2Jd in the £. Within the Western Subdivision, upon lands classified “A,” 2 ( ’fd in the £ ; upon lands classified. “B,” 2d in the £ ; and upon lands classified “C,” in the £. Within the Waihou Subdivision, upon lands classified “A,” 2-}d in the £ ; upon lands classified “B,” l£d in the £ ; and upon lands classified “C,” l§d in the £. Within the Awaiti Subdivision, upon lands classified “A,” 3 5-16 d in the £ ; upon lands classified “B,” lfd in the £ ; and upon lands classified “C,” l|d in the £. All the above rates shall be for the period commencing on the Ist day of April, 1929, and ending on the 31st day of March, 1930, and shall be payable to the Clerk to the Board, Te Aroha, on the 18th day of November, 1929. The rate books and rating rolls are now open for inspection of ratepayers at the office of the Board during office hours.
