RIFLE SHOOTING.
PAEROA’S MINIATURE CLUB.
HARDWARE CO.’S TROPHY.
On Wednesday night the members of the Paeroa Defence Miniature Rifle Club met in their weekly shoot in a handicap competition for a trophy donated by the Paeroa Hardware Co. Shooting was again of a high standard, some members maintaining their improved form, while others showed still further improvement. Although another big reduction was made in the handicaps no less than seven members scored the limt and shot off with the handicaps reduced by the usual procedure. Captain H. Simmonds was in fine form, registering three consecutive possibles off the rifle and carrying off the trophy. E. Mead was second. M, Charlesworth showed considerable improvement, also scoring a possible. Following are the scores :—
