CHAMPION JERSEYS OFFERED. ROMANIS FOR SALE. Romani (Mr H. J. Harris, of Hikutaia) is offering at the National Show and Sale at Hamilton on the 25th and 26th of this month a great line of but-ter-fat bulls, including two direct sons of Waipiko Masterpiece, the world’s champion butter-fat bull. The first sons of that potential butter-fat champion bull Romani Heather’s Wallad, who created such a sensation at the 1927 National Show and Sale. A maternal brother to St. Marino Lassie, 61 Lib of fat as a senior two-year-old. A son of Green Dale Wahini, commencing test one year and 10 months 5011 b of fat in 314 days, calving nine days later. Now under retest at foui* years and produced 90 POUNDS OF FAT IN HER FIRST FULL MONTH, which will in all probability place her at the top of the merit list for the month for the whole of the Dominion. If her present performance continues, and Waihini is a consistently heavy milker, high tester, and sticker, she is in a fair way of breaking the present four-year-old Dominion record, at present held by Keston Flower, 8141 b of fat. One well-grown son of Mermaid Lateefa, a daughter of Waipiko Masterpiece and Sweet Mermaid (whose three- daughters as junior two-year-olds avoraged over 6001 b of fat). Mermaid’s Jjateefa has a C.O.R. of 4971 b fat, class 2, commencing test one year nine months, and had the misfortune ito lose a quarter six weeks after calvinjg. Still, on three quarters last year, under O.H.T. she produced 6171 b of Jat, in 305 days ; now under retest, and a substantial record is expected.
