DISTRICT NEWS.

NGATEA. CHURCH SOCIAL. The regular Church of England social in aid of the building fund was held on Wednesday evening, there being a fair attendance of dancers and card players. The music was by the Ngatea Orchestra. The first and second prizes for the euchre tournament were won by Mesdames C. Molloy and J. King, and Messrs W. Wylde and W. Williams. The Monte Carlo waltz was won by Miss Irwin and Mi' H. Harper, and a competition by Mr H. Dent.
