HAMILTON STOCK SALE. The Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Co., Ltd., reports :— At the weekly stock sale in the Frankton yards on Tuesday last we had an average yarding of fat and store cattle. Good quality beef was again in keen demand, and sold at advanced prices. There was an average yarding of fat sheep, which maintained late rates. Pigs came forward in average numbers and met with good competition. We quote:- — Fat steer £l3 10s to £l5 7s; prime fat cows £l3 17s to £l5 2s 6d ; prime fat heifers £l3 to £l5 8s ; fat cows £lO 5s to £l2 6s, medium £8 12s 6d to £9 18s, light £6 15s to £7 16s, forward £5 10s. to £6 ss, store £2 15s to £4 18s; forward two-year-old steers £7 9s ‘ grade two-year Jersey bulls £6 10s to £8 ss. Sheep.—Fat wethers 36s to 37s 9d ; fat ewes 32s 6d to £2 0s 3d. pigs.—Heavy baconers £4 2s to £4 7s, medium £3 14s to £3 18s ; light baconers and heavy porkers £3 3s to £3 10s, light porkers £2 12s to £2 17s ; good stores 38s to £2 6s ; slips 26s to 34s ; weaners 16s to 245.
