• TURUA STOCK SALE. i A big yarding, mostly of dairy cattle, was sold at Messrs. A. Buckland and Sons at their monthly sale at Turua ond Friday last. . Beef was scarce and consequently in keen demand, the prices secured for stores, boners and beef showing much improvement on late rates. Dairy cattle sold >at late quotations. Prices realised were as follows :—
Best dairy cows £l3 to £l6, second £9 15s to £ll 10s, backward £7 10s to £8 15s, yearling Jersey heifers £4 to £5 12s 6d, Friesian and Shorthorn yearlings £3 12s 6d to £4 ss. No heavy beef’was yarded. Med-ium-weight fat c»ws brought up to £9 10s, boned and forward-condition-ed cows £5 2s 6d to £6 ss, potting bulls £3 15s to £7 7s, according to weight.
