WAIKATO DIOCESE.

ANGLICAN VICAR RESIGNS. PRESBYTERIAN LEANINGS. The Rev. H. E. Jones, M.A. (Durham', who lately resigned from the Anglican vicarage of Frankton, has applied to the Waikato Presbytery to be received into the ministry of the Presbyterian Church. He gave as his reasons the appeal the democratic government of that Church made to him, and the fact that he found his theological views were in line with those of that denomination. The Presbytery forwarded his application on to the General Assembly with a strong recommendation that he be accepted.
