HOCKEY.
MATCHES ON THE PLAINS. Just as in football, the playing of representative matches seems to have affected the interest in the Hauraki Plains ladies’ hockey competition, for on Saturday, as in the previous week, only one of the three games set down for decision was played. Kopuarahi B forfeited to Ngatea School, and Kerepeehi B forfeited to Waitakaruru, so the only match played was between Kerepeehi A and Turua. This was won by the Kerepeehi ladies by six goal.-; tc nil, the scorers being Misses Msrtle Courtney (3), Martha Courtney, D. Co rrtney. and N. Fisher.
