The high school ground has undergone a special preparation for the last fortnight, and will be just in condition for a fast and thrilling game. All the schools in the district are declaring a half-holiday, with the approval of the Auckland Education Board, from whom the suggestion emanated, and special trains and buses will be running from all parts of the district.
Large seating aconimodation has been ararnged on the playing area so that the public may be able to see the game in comfort. The Australian team is noted already for its sparkling play, and the Thames-Hauraki team has been in strict training for a long time. Since it is the first time an international team of any code has visited any part of the district, the Thames folk are laying themselves out to make the visit memorable. In the evening a dance will be held in honour of the Australians.
