Everyone who loves a good fast game, be it Rugby, hockey, or any other pastime, will have the only opportunity in the Auckland country districts on Thursday, August 8, when the Australian hockey team will visit Thames to play a match against the Thames.-Hauraki team. To enable everyone to visit the game arrangements have been made to run special train services from Morrinsville, Te Aroha, Waihi, and Paeroa, and special excursion rates will be available. In addition to this the Thanies-Haurak’ Hockey Association has arranged with the various bus services to run special cars that day, and is catering for a very large attendance on the High School ground at Thames.

It is interesting to note that this is the first time an international touring team in any code at all has visited this part of the Dominion, and it is hoped that the public will roll up in their thousands to show their appre ciation.
