RIFLE SHOOTING.

PAEROA’S MINIATURE CLUB. THREE-NIGHT COMPETITION. The first night’s shoot of the threenight handicap conxpetition between members of the Paeroa Defence Miniature Rifle Club took place at the local drill hall, on Wednesday night, there being a good muster of members. Great interest was taken in the shooting, the conditions being 10 shots and one compulsory sighter, with the score limited to 100 and separate handicaps to be declared for each night. The top score for the evening was made by A. A. Jenkinson, who registered the possible number of points (100) off the rifle. L. Morris was a good second, with 97 off the rifle. After the competition shooting was finished a practice was held, during which the following registered possibles : L. Morris, H. A. Morrison, and Captain H. Simmonds. Next Wednesday evening the competition will be continued.
