At the, opening of the North-East Coast Exhibition at Newcastle-on-Tyne, where a special pavilion is provided for the British Dominions, the High Commissioner, Sir James Parr, said the exhibit revealed the close bond of commerce existing between England and the Dominion of New Zealand, as its special features were the main products of the country—wool, butter, cheese, mutton, lamb, honey, and fruit. It was stated at the opening that the Dominion spent ■■ £21,000,000 a year in England, which worked out at £l4 10s per head of thepopulation.
