PLUNKET SOCIETY.

DR. DERRICK IN PAEROA. MEETS LOCAL BRANCH. Sir- Truby King’s understudy, Dr. T. Derrick, arrived in Paeroa on Tuesday morning on his official visit of inspection to the various branches of the society in the Dominion. The committee met him in the Centenary Hall, where Mrs Marshall, the president, introduced him to the members. Dr. Derrick said he did not intend to give a lecture, as they were all well aware of the objects of the society, but they would just have a chat and he would be pleased to answer any questions they might ask. Several matters affecting the welfare of babies were discussed, and the committee expressed appreciation of the useful information given by Dr. Derrick.
