RIFLE SHOOTING.
PAEROA’S MINIATURE CLUB. WEDNESDAY EVENING’S SHOOT. The Paeroa Defence Miniature Rifle Club held another very successful practice shoot at the Drill Hail, Paeroa, on Wednesday evening, v.ben close on thirty members, including several new ones, took part in the shooting, and showed an all round improvement in their ner’ormanees. Captain H. Simmonds, was in his usual good form; and topped the fcores with a good century—the possible. The following are the scores : - Captain H. Simmonds, 100 : IL V. Cocks, 98 ; R. W. Roberts, 93 ; D. Currie, 93 ; A. Keighley, 92 ; E. Mead, 92 ; E. Turton, senr., 91 ; W. A. Reid, 91 ; M. Simmonds, 90 ; L. Morris, 89 ; H. A. Mills, 89 : A. A. Jenkinson, 86 ; Roy Wells, 83; A. Coxhead, 77; J. Jaspers, 72 ; A. Mellor, 69 ; E. Pennell, 67 ; F. Patterson, 64 ; L. Vernon, 61 ; W. S. Garing, 59 ; M. Charlesworth, 54 ; E. Turton, junr., 51. Six others scored below 50. Another shot will be held next Wed nesday evening.
