HOCKEY.
LADIES’ COMPETITION GAMES. YESTERDAY’S RESULTS. Two matches were played yesterday by the Paeroa ladies’ hockey teams. In the contest between the Waratahs and True Blues victory went to the former by the narrow margin of 4 goals to 3. For the winners Miss V. Shand netted three goals and Miss E. Hayward 1. The three goals registered for True Blues were shot by Misses A. Morrison, D. Smith, and M. O’Neil. In the second game the Ramblers beat Kowhais to the tune of 6 to 4. Misses D. Wilson (4) and T. Innis (2) shot the goals for the Ramblers, while Miss B. Hunter was responsible for notching the four goals for the Kowhai team. TO-MORROW’S GAMES. The arrangements for to-morrow are Rovers v. Hinemoa, at Hikutaia, and Wanderers v. Pioneers (Hikutaia), at Paeroa. The Paeroa teams are as follows Rovers.—D. Epps, Mrs Otter, M. Coburn, A. Power, A. Morrison, A. O’Neil, A..lnnis, Q. Gibb, B. Bell, B. Gibb, D. Wilson, R. Swann, F. Wilson, G. Milroy, E. McKee. Emergency, M. White. MATCHES ON THE PLAINS. The first round of the Hauraki Plains ladies’ hockey competition will be concluded to-morrow, when Turua will play Ngatea School and the two Kerepeehi teams will meet the two Kopuarahi teams.
