GRAND BALL.

TO-MORROW’S BIG FUNCTION. RECORD ANTICIPATED. Judging by the keen interest throughput the Thames Valley and Hauraki Plains, the Paeroa Oddfellows 6th Annual Grand Ball function on Thursday will shatter all previous records. The Grand Master of the Auckland district, Bro. Fred. Best, of Hamilton, the deputy-G.M., Bro. W. G. Pitcher, of Auckland, will represent the district officers, while notification of representation of all lodges in the Valley and Plains districts has been received. The M.P. for the district, Mr A. M. Samuel, and the Mayor of Paeroa, Mr W. Marshall, arc also expected to attend the function.

To ensure the comfort of patrons the whole area of the Gaiety Theatre and supper-room will be free, added to which will be the enchanting Palm Beach promenade. The Grand Ball supper will this year be held in the adjoining Returned Soldiers’ Club.

The orchestra, the Dixie Boys, have in their dance selections included all the latest and popular numbers, while the scheme of decorating and general arrangements of the Grand Ball will leave nothing to be desired.
