ELECTRIC POWER.
THAMES VALLEY BOARD. ENGINEER’S REPORT. The following are extracts from the engineer’s report, the whole; of which was submitted and approved at the ordinary meeting, of the Thames Valley Power yesterday :— PAEROA DISTRICT. Waihi Plains.—This line has been surveyed and pegged for the first, two miles, from Waitawhejta. The poles, wire and heavy material 'have been distributed over the c,lay rtoads, so that work may be started when the remainder of the material comes to hand. Awaiti.—A new secton switch has been erected at Netherton. This will enable the Awaiti line to bq fed from either, circuit should a breakdown occur on the main feeders. Pipiroa.—A flopdgatq collapsed and one of our main 11,000 v. line poles was washed out, it being necessary to replace it. in a new position to prevent Street Lights.—Ten new street lights for the Hauraki. plains County Council are bqing erected, three of which, have been completed to date. Patetonga-Maukoro.—The whole of the poles on this link have been erected, the high tension and low tension lines completed, telephone run. for two milejs, a new sub-station erected, and two new section switches installed at either end. General. —The elqctric truck has completed another full month’s work in hindered, considerable pole cartage has been done in anticipation of traffic restrictions, pole inspection has been done, and new signs, erected over the; whole are& The new switch panel at Waihou is being installed in readiness to operate on No. 5 feeder. After reading the rqport the engineer, Mr N. McLeod, informed the Board that the supply of electricity on the Patetonga-Maukoro road had bec,n made availably last night.
