ANZAC SERVICE.

- Sir, —With reference to the service on Anzac Day, it sejems I was not the only one to be filled with disgust I have attended several memorial services in Auckland, and have never hoard anything like the remarks made by the Anglican Minister in Paeroa. We are taught to be charitable, one to the other, but I saw no charity in the vicar of Paeroa’s address. The egotism expressed in his reply to "Reason” is indeed very amusing and typical of that worthy person. Being commenddd bv General Allenby’s staff was indeed’ small cognition for such a brilliant war record. One wonders why he was not knighted immediately. However, one cannot accuse the Vic.ar of “hiding ■his light under a bushel.” AN ANGLICAN.
