MARdST MISSION. FAITH AND FERVOUR. Large crowds continue to attend the Catholic Mission at St. Mary’s, Paeroa. On Wednesday evening the Rev. Father Spillane, &M., preached) on the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, the central a°t of Catholic Worship. Yesterday, being the Eucharistic Solemnity of. the .Mission, Exposition of the' Blessed. 1 Sacrament was kept up all day, many people visi-tipg the Church. At 7.30 the Faith and Fervciur of a thronged congregation' were manifested. ‘ The sermon on the Catholic Doctrine of the Real Presence was followed' by an inspiring Eucharistic Procession, in whiefh thel Schoolchildren and the Whole congreation joined, -carrying lighted candles, f and singing th© traditional hymns in honour of Christ, the King. The Rev. Father O’C’arroll, Parish Priest of Cambridge,, ofiiiciated at the Solemn Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament, imparted from an altar erected in the Church grounds. He was assisted by the Rev. Father O’Meara, of Thames, and- the Rev. Father. Taylor. The ceremonies concluded with the Divine Praises as, a reparation against blasphemy, and: the singing of! “Holy God, we praise T.hy Name.” ToMiight, at 7.30, the Mission will be continued. To-<raorrow evening will be t'he Solemnity in honour of the Sacred Heart, and the men pif the parish will be received into the Holy Name Society. A general communion will take place pn Sunday morning at 8 o’clock, and the Mission will be solemnly closed in the evening at seven o’clock. The Rev. Father Taylor, P.P., again extends a cordial, invitaticin to all people of Paefoa Who may wish to attend any of the exercises of the Mission.
