PREPARING FOR SEASON.
annual club meetings. Although the Rugby football season is rapidly approaching little interest is. yet manifest throughout the Hauraki Plains, and some clubs have riot yet fixed the; date of their annual ineeting. UNITED COAST EFFORT. A movement to re-form the United Coast Club was started at Pipiroa last week, and a well-attended meeting decided that should the Hauraki Mains Rugby Union be agreeable to giving the club its old territory a strong senior gradtej team could be entered for the inter-c.lub competition. Mr F. Wallis was elected president, Mr j. O’Carroll secretary, Messrs F. Wallis and McDcll delegates, Mr McDell club captain, and Mr Rusnell Green senior selector. AH matches will be played at Pipiroa. THE KEREPEEHI CLUB. At the annual meeting of the Kere-i peehi Club last wcpk the following officers were elected :— President, Mr F. Rogers ; secretary, Mr C. Murray; delegates, Messrs, NClay and W. Green ; management committee:, Messrs CliffPW, Price, Anderson, Hegji, Courtney ; coach and senior selector, Mr Clifford ; junior selector, Mr Hegh ; thirdi-grade selector and manager, Mr T. Scott • club captain, Mr W. Price. The question of playing-fields wris deferred until after thq annual meeting of the other code. It was anticipated that no difficulty would be ex--perienced in securing adequate players for the three grades. THE TURUA CLUB. Twqnty-flve members and supporters attended the annual meeting of the Turua Club on Wednesday last. Mr W. Madgwick presided in the; absence of the president, Mr T. H. White. The balance sheet presented by the acting-secretary, Mr A. Tynan, showed a balance brought forward of £27 7s 9d and a balance to c.rirry forward' of £2B 2s lid. fees amounted to £4 10s, donations £l5 88? 6d, gate receipts; £l7 6s, gross proceeds from dances £ll5 2s 6d, donations for shejd £9 l'ss 6d, and insurance contributions collected £lO, making a total of £205 14s 3d. Among the items of expenditure were £1 12,s 6d on ground improtver ments, £34 8s for material for ashed, £6 for transport of players, £8 for affiliation fees and insurance levy, £2O 5s lid for refreshments, £2 17s 3d on footballs, £55 16s 6d on ’social functions, and £ll 12s 6d for insurance of players. The following officers were elected ; Patron, Mr G. E. Poi’teous ; president, Mr A. Tynan ; secretary, Mr K. S. Ural am ; executive committee, Messrs G. Hoskin, C- K. Fox, L. Young, R. M«d?.wick, G. Schofield,senr.; auditor, M J. Gibson ; senior selectors, Mr CScott and the c.lub captain; junior selector, Mr K. Fox ; thjrd-gradte sc-I-ctor. Mi L. Peatcca t ; delegate - to I'ai’ --,ki Plrins Union, Messrs W. Mn:!gwi< k and C. K. Fox ; ejxtra delegates to annual meeting of union, Messrs W. Taylor and C. Scott. Votes of thanks were accorded all the retiring officials, particularly Dr. Miller, for professional services, and Mr C. Scott, for bringing out the third-grade team.
