FIGURES FOB MARCH. LESS THAN AVERAGE RECORDED. ' The amount of rain which fell ih Paeroa last month rogistered 5-77 inches, making a total for the year up to March 31 of 8.19 inchqs, as against 8-86 and H-28 respectively last year, being a decrease for 1929 of 3.09 for each period. Raid fell on the 7th, l lth, Slat, 28th, and 31st., the amount on the 21st -bqing the heaviest with 2.85 inches. The highest temperature during the niciuth was on the 7th, with 73 degrees, and! the lowest on the 12t’h and 31st, when the reading was 58. The prevailing wind dqring March came from the north-east.
