ACCIDENT AT PAEROA.

MAN SEVERELY INJURED.

STRUCK ON HEAD BY BOULDER.

On Monday afternoon a serious, accident occurred at Silcock’s Quarry. Paeroa.

Mr Eugene Daly, of Netherton, an employee of Mr C. A- Stembridige, Netherton, was loading metal on a lorry, when a boulder, one of many loosened by the recent heavy rains, crashed down and struck him on the head. The. injured man quickly received medical attention for severe injuries to the head, and was hastened to the; Thames Hospital for further treatment. On inquiry it was learned that Mr Daly is as comfortable as can be expected under the circumstances.
