The visit of the Minister of Public Works to Paeroa and the Hauraki Peninsula will apparently bear fruit beyond expectation by the granting, of, requests put forward by various deputations and individuals. To see is to believe, and nothing could have proved this more indisputably than the personal tour of the Minister, by which he gained visual as well as written evidence, which has accomplished more in the short while that he was here than months, or even years, of correspondence has been able to do. That the invitation to' the Minister was extended by a. member of the Opposition, and accepted in splendid spirit by the Minister, speaks volumes for New Zealand politics, when men can sink party differences and unite when some pressing, public problem is In the balance.
