ENGINEER’S REPORT FOR MONTH. The following monthly report was submitted by Mr L. "H am il ton -Paeroa- —The resu rfacing. of the To Aroha-Paercta. section of this highway with fine mefal is, proceeding satisfactorily. The raising of the low-lying piece of road at Mangaiti was completed during the month v.n<| has received a cent of two-inch metal. Un account of the council s trucks being employed, full time cm the Paeroa-Kopu highway it will be necessary to employ two light trucks to cart the sand fpir blinding the, metyl now being placed, on this road. “Paeroa-Kopu.—The resurfacing of this road from the Paeroa Borough boundary to the Hikutaia stream i s pioceeding, metal being crushed at the council’s plant at Komata. Several culverts on this length are being lengthened, and in several places it will be necessary to shoujdfer and build up the corners. “Hik Utah--Netherton Ferry.— The giavelling of this road is proceeding, and the contractor is making, good progress. The roadyroller is being employed cn this work, and on account of the very soft nature of the forma--tion a good deal more gravel than was Originally estimated will be required to complete the work. PAEROA WATER SUPPLY. “During, the month the supplementary water supply was connected to the present 9-inch main and the pressure turned on to test the joints in the new main. The test proved very satisfactory. The, contractor has completed the wbik with the exception of a few minor items.”
