Tiie matter of. the robbery which occurred at the Nethcrton Post Office some twelve months ago has now been cleared up by the c'onfessic|ii. of tiie youth who was arrested on Monday. So far there are 25 charges against him, anil a number thefts in and around the district will be solved.

Suniiay next, Palm Sunday, is a day of solemn obligation throughout the Western Church. There will be special services at St. Paul’s Church at 8 a.m., 11 a.m., and 7 p.m. At the latter service the Devotion, “The Stoiy of the Cross” ivill be sung, and Mr Harold Hill will render the tenor recitative and aria, “He Whose Sin,” and “He Whose Sorrow,” from the, cratorio “Olivet to Calvary,” by Maunder.

At the croquet lawn, yesterday a match was, played between the Waihi and Paeroa teams, and resulted in a win for Paeroa. by 8 games to 3. The visitors were entertained by the local club to lunch and afternoon tea, and a pleasant time was spent.

Mr G. V. NagejJ, singing Evangelist, continues his Mission in the Paeroa Presbyterian Church until Wednesday next.*
