Puffs and Pores.
Enlarged pores are a very real beauty worry. One of. the chief causes is powdering on powder ; another is the use of a soiled powder puff. The latter .can be avoided) by using, pads of cotton wool, taking a fresh one each time.
But if a puff is preferred, make a point 'of having two om three, and wash them frequently in soap flakes. J t is unwise to powder again' without removing the previous Jayejr. The powder is easily removed’with a little cold c.ream, of, If available, fresh milk is efficient, and benieficial to the: skin.
To correct enlarged pores wash thr face in hot water, using a good) olive oil soap. Always rinse the face in c.old watqr into whieh a few drops of tincture of benzoin have been poured, to tone up the skin ajnd .close the pores. Every night ruib in a good sulphur ointment.
Twice a. day go over, the face with a s.wab dipped in pure; wych-hazel. This i,s an astringent with efficient healing qualities. Enlarged poresi require plenty of friction, for whic.h a medium loofah is better than a sponge oir flannel.
