Mr G. W. Carter, of the head office, Bank of. New Zealand 1 , Wellington, has arrived in Paqroa, and is relieving Mt R. L. Miller, of t'he local branch, who has left for a three wepks’ holiday at Manganui.

Mr A. M. Samuel, M.P., was in Pae;i’oa pin Wednesday. Mr Samuel, who recently made a trip north for health reasons, did not benefit materially as u result, and is still suffering badly from neuritis. ■
