THE Hauraki Plains Gazette With which is incorporated THE OHINEMURI GAZETTE. Motto: Public Service. MONDAY, WEDNESDAY, & FRIDAY. WEDNESDAY, MARCH 6, 1929. LATENESS OF MEETINGS.
It is hard to under, stand why s« many principals disregard common courtesy and turn up to meetings, late. Nowadays it seems to ba the rule rather, than the exception. No doubt it is only a; mattqr of pure thoughtlessness, but .it really reflects discredit on the town. It does not create a favourable impression to keep visiters from other districts waiting in this manner. It is all right for those who live; in Paer.oa. itself to deJay a meeting—they can get home in a few minutes —but outsiders, with miles to travel back at nigjrt, must find the lateness most vexaciousOut of cpmmon poliAenqss to the public, and in the case of committees t» tlie other members, it is only right that those who have a controlling interest in affairs, should make an effort to be on the spot at the time notified.
