Lieutenant V. J. Innes, N.Z.S.C., is appointed staff officer (temp.) of the No. 2 Regimental District, dated October 15, 1928, and temporarily relinquishes the appointment of area office No. 2A Area, dated January 18, 1928. # * * * Second-Lieutenant G. H. Heal, N.Z.S.C., having completed his training at the Royal Military College, Sandhurst, and his attac.hment to the Ist, Battalion, The King’s Own Scottish Borde,rers, returned to New Zealand on December 11, 1928, and is promoted lieutenant fiom that date, with seniority as from September 1. 1927, and is appointed area officer (temp.), of. 2A Area, Paeroa, dated January 19, 1929.

Captain J. S, G. Fraser, D. 5.0., R.N.. has arrived from England to take up the post of. chief staff officer of, the New Zealand Division of the Royal Navy, in succession to Captain C. N. Reyne, who will leave for England by the lonic on l March 13. Captain Fraser was formerly in command of the light cruiser Canterbury.

Detailed by the British War Office as liaisofn, officer with the General Staff of the Nojw Zealand Military Fbr-ces, Major H. E. Grady., M-C., has arrived in Wellington ans will spend about seven weeks in the Dominion. On March Ist he inspected the Ist Battalion, the Nelson, Marlbterciugh and West. Coast Regiment in camp, and the Nelson College Cadets. On March 7th he will inspect the 3id New Zealand Infantry Brigade in camp at. Waianakarua, near Oamaru, and later he will visit the military camp at Burnham, and the Wig,ram aerodrome at Sockburn, Christchurch. Eady will attend the A- r - a - meeting at, Trentham from March 12 to. 15. Hs will also visit the 17th Battery N.Z. Artillery in Camp at Waipukurau, the 21st Battery camp at Rotorua., the Waikato Military trainingcamp and the Hobsonville aerodrome at Auckland. After attending t!he sen-, ior officers’ course at .Waiwera, starting on April 4, Major Eady will leave for Vancouver on April 9.
