WEDDING.
Eor the first time in the history of New South Wales th© son of a Premier has been married during his father’s term of office. Daughters by the score, more or less, have had this, honour, but John Bavin, son of the New Zealand-born Premier, is the first son to achieve this distinction. His mar-, r.iage to Marcia Allen .daughter of Mr and Mrs Arthur Allen, who have extensive legpl asd pastoral interests, was graced by the presence of the Governor and Lady de Chair, Tire Bishop of. Newcastle, Dr. Long, performed the cere.mony. Miss Shirley Bavin (who was in Ne,W Zealand last year with her father,) and Miss Barbara Allen were bridesmaids; Annabel and Barbara Austen, the small nieces of the bride, and daughters of Mr Ken Austen, the well-known-golf enthusiast, were train-bearers. Messrs Gordon Weschc and Stewar.t Jamieson attesded the bridegroom.
