Hall, and F: Lye; M’&P., promising support, and suggesting a deputation to the Minister of Agriculture on his visit to the county. It was agreed that a deputation wait upon the Minister, and ask for a subsidy bn a sliding scale with, a limit of £l5O to enable the club to employ an assistant to Mr, Ccstello, s'o that proper attention cpiuld. be given the increasing amount of sickness and minor ailments i,n members’ cows, u W as thought that a recently qualified veterinary surgeon could be obtained who would be glad to get his practical.experience under such a competent man as Mr Costelloi
With an assistant for the surgeon the club ‘‘buld reasonably expect an increase in membership sufficient in a few years to enable their subscriptions to pay the assistant’s salary, but until then a subsidy wais desired. As the membership increased the subsidy could 1 be reduced.
