ODDFELLOWSHIP.

LOYAL JUBILEE LODGE. ANNUAL MEETING. Last .evening the annual meeting of the Loyal jubilee Ledge, No. 7446, if.U., 1.0.G.F., was held in the Returned Soldier’s Club, Paeroa. Sister M. BertelSen, N.G., presided' over a good attendance of members. A motion of appreciation of the services of Mrs W. Pennell ip the grand ball and social events of the lodge was unanimously approved.

Bros. C. E. J. GiwilHam and D. SKerr were appointed an'-* Bro. C. E. J. Gwilliam, P.G., was appointed lecture master.

Representation at the function t° the officers of the Zealand branch, to be. held in Hamilton on March 16, was arranged. Purple degree certificates were presented to Past Grands Bros. Townshend, Fox, and Slyfiejjd. Clearance forms were granted to Sister P. SCown and Bro. F. Morrow, and letters of recommendation to Sister L. Brooks and Bro. Walsh. At the annual District Conference, to be held in Auckland on. March 13 and 14, the lodge will be represented by P.G. Bro. T. M- 'Wilkinson and P.G. Bro. K. L. Slyfielfl. The annual report, shows the lodge to be in a strong, financial position, with a steadily increasing membership. The services to the lodge and Order of Sistqr 1. Smith (past financial secretary), P.G. Bro. W. L. Lawrence (treasurer for several years), P.G. Bro. W. Power (past auditor-lec-ture master), and l P.G. Sister E. Freeman, all of whom have left the district, were mentioned in eulogistic terms. The social life of the lodge was maintaiped through the instrumentality of, the annual, Grand Ball in May, Oddfellows Winter, Sports Day in September, Christmas Tree fancy tion, visits to adjacent lodges, a,nd local social evening,s. The lodge was officially represented on the H. Robinson Benefit Committed during 1928, and was also represented in the establishment of. the Thames Valley Past. Grands’ Lodge. During the year the lodge; lost one member in the death of Bro. Alex Brooks. \

The report expressed appreciation to the proprietors of the “Haiiraki Plains Gazette” for lodge publicity.
