LIWIIE.NCB—BI6<iS Great interest was talcqp. in. the marriage at St. Mark’s Church, Te Aroha, on Tuesday, of Wilhelmina Harry, fifth daughter, of Mi’s Biggs and the late William. Biggs, of Te Aroha, to Dr. William Richard! Lawrence, eldest son of, Mr and Mrs W- RLawrence, of Pukekana, Avenue, Epsom, Auckland. Long before the cqpemony friends and well-wishers began to assemble at the church, which was crowded ■ to Overflowing. The Rev. R. L. Connolly was the officiating clergyman. The bride, who wa.s conducted to the altar by her brother, Mr Robert Biggs, was charmingly gowned in ivory georgette with a pouched bodice inset with Honitan lace. The skirt of. Honiton lace had. a band of georgette inset into the scallops. The . beautiful hand-em-broidered veil was arranged as a coronet with orange; blossoms. She carried a lovely shower banquet with touches of shell pink. The .bridesmaid was Miss Ruth lisobelle Biggs, s,ister of the bride, who was attired in a cornflower blue georgptttj with a two-tiered skirt and accordeonpleated fichu on the bodice. An atmosphere coloured hat relieved with blue was worn. 1 Mr Jack Partridge, of Auckland, acte;d as best man. A novel note was struck when the bride and bridegroom, leaving the church, passed through an ar.chway of tennis racquets enroute to their car.

Only near relatives, were; guests at a dainty afternoon tea given by Mrs Biggs at her home. Dr. and Mr t s Lawrence left in the afternoon by motor-car on an extended tour. The bride’s travelling frock was a French floral c,repq de chine model with blue hat to tone, black dorea coat, and fox fur; with blue feather posy.
