FIRE BRIGADE NOTES.

What little social money the local brigade had managed fo raise from, time to time was devoted at its last meeting towards the relief fund 'of a widow and family of a brother fireman in another part of the Dominion. This leaves the local team in a rather difficult financial position, in view of the early attendance required at the Hdkitika demonstration.

The secretary of the Morrinsville Brigade has just been presented by the Morrinsville Borough OOunc.il with a donation of £l5, in answer to a for quejst for £25 towards their I-llQ>kitika expenses. Other brigades in the district are eagerly leaking forward to what is going to prove, from the number of entriep, the greatest demonstration and conference ever held in the Dominion—the Jubilee of the United Fire Brigades’ Association of New Zealand. These brigades, some of them farmed only within the last three or four years, are all donating thejr teams liberal allowance's.
