FIGURES FOR JANUARY.. PAEROA RECORDS. Tile rainfall in Paqroa in January was much heavier this year than last, records showing 1.91 inches for 1929 and 0.03 of an inch for 1928. A DRY MONTH RECORDED. The January rainfall, for Hauraki Plains, as, gauged) at the Lands Drainage Department’s office, Kerepeehi, totalled 1.41 inches. Some rain.was recorded on twelve days. With the exception of last year this is the lowest total for any January since 1917, and is 1.12 inches, below t'sp January average of the last sixteen years. Just under an inch of tain fell in the first eight days of the month, there w'Cjre very light falls on the 15t'h and 16th, and one-third of an inch was recorded between the 22nd and 26th.
