Gen-i era!, Sir Charles Fergusson, at the annual "break-up” ceremony of Scots ' College at Wellington last week. His r Excellency went on to say that he r intended, however, to give the boys i, some advice, which that pow was the time to realise their, opportun- :: ities. «« “But,” he remarked, "that advice s has been given to boys all over the | world time and time again, and I don’t suppose tau boys here to-night m *i)l take any more notice of it than p I did. You should, nevertheless, make the most of your opportunities. You owe it to your parents, to your, teachers, to your companions, and, last of &11, to yourselves. lam think- = Ing more of those leaving college and going 'out into the world now. The - whole of life lies before you. You y can make your life what- you like. . Aim 'high and tty to get there. Have , high Ideals in lite; realise the opportunities you have and make the best of them.” (Applause.)
