WAIKATO MARKET REPORT.

The Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Co., Ltd., report:—

Beef.—The market firm for both ox and cow beef, beat prime ox making, 40s and prime cow and heifer 36s pejr 1001 b.

Fat Sheep.—Good yardings are com- 1 ing forward, with prices easier for both wether and ewe mutton. Export ■; ers are operating freely on lamb at 9%d per lb. ,

Store Shqep.—There is a good demand, for shorn wethers ; also a good inquiry for ewe's, and lambs. Store Cattle).—-All classes of stores are in demand: gro.wn anjd young, steers, good store cows, and yearling and two-year heifers are much sought after.

Pigs.—Big yardlngjs of both fats and. storqs continue to come prime baconersj and porkers, making equal to 4%d per lb. There is still good competition for all clades of stores.

Horses.—The market is quiet for all classes.

The Farmers’ Co-operative Auction-; eering Co., Ltd., reports having held the last sale of the year in the Frankton yards on Tuesday and there; was a good entry of fat cattle and sheep. Competition was keen for light prime ox beef, all classes selling well up to late quotations. Fat Sheep sold at the previous week’s quotations, and all classes of fat and store pigs S)old well up to late rates. Heavy fat steers £l3 to £l4 19s. lighter. £l2 10s to £l3; nine extra cjhoice light prime steers, on account of Mr H; S. Ha.wkins, averaged £l2 4s: a pen of heavy steers, on account of •Mr W. Willoughby Kaipaki, averaged £l4 14s; heavy fat cows £9 Ils to £lO 16s, lighter £8 10s to £lO, fresh- conditioned £6 Is to £7; store cows £s> 10s.
